Who is eligible

  • Must be a member of an African Methodist Episcopal Church in the Sixth Episcopal District
  • Must enroll in College as a freshman in the Fall 2017 with courses leading towards a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

What you'll need

  • Completed, typewritten application page
  • A current official high school transcript (must include SAT/ACT Score Report if not on the transcript)
  • Essay (500 words, typed, double spaced) on one of the following prompts: 'Discuss some issue of personal, local, national or international concern and its importance to you.', 'Indicate a person who has had a significant influence on your life, and describe that influence.', or 'How will Morris Brown College assist me in achieving my Career Goals?'
  • Letter of Recommendation 1: From your Pastor, Local Lay Organization President, Church School Superintendent, or Teacher
  • Letter of Recommendation 2: From your High School Teacher, High School Counselor, or Administrator

  • Prepare the 500-word typed essay on one of the provided topics.
  • Secure the two required letters of recommendation.
  • Obtain official high school transcripts (and SAT/ACT scores if applicable).
