Arts & Entertainment Scholarship (HBCU Week)

This scholarship is designed for high-school seniors and current college students who are committed to or currently attending an HBCU, majoring in arts or entertainment fields, and planning to work in the entertainment industry. A total of four awards are given, distributed over the remaining years of the recipient's undergraduate program.

Who is eligible

  • Must commit to or attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU)
  • Must declare a major in the arts and/or entertainment field
  • High school seniors must have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Current college students must have a GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Must be a resident of the United States
  • Must have one letter of recommendation from an instructor

  • One 500-word essay on why the applicant deserves the scholarship
  • One 2-minute video explaining your dream job in the arts & entertainment industry and how you plan to achieve it

  • Upload your most recent transcript, proof of HBCU acceptance, and a letter of recommendation.
  • Submit a 500-word essay explaining why you deserve the scholarship.
  • Record and upload a 2-minute video explaining your career goals in the entertainment industry.
  • Submit all required materials electronically by February 16 (HBCU acceptance letters may be submitted through April 11).
