Who is eligible
- Must be a high school senior, graduate, or undergraduate student
- Must plan to pursue full-time study at a two-year college or vocational-technical school
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Must plan to pursue a degree/certificate in trade fields (such as construction, motor/power sector, mechanics, or technology)
- Members of the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors and their immediate family members are not eligible

- Three letters of recommendation from a current school professor, faculty member, or community leader
