This non-needs-based scholarship is awarded by the Omicron Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity to outstanding male high school seniors who demonstrate character aligned with the fraternity's Cardinal Principles. Applicants must plan to attend a two- or four-year accredited institution of higher learning.

Who is eligible
- Must be a male high school senior enrolled full-time at a public high school in Richland One, Richland Two, Lexington One, Lexington Two, Lexington Three, Lexington Four, Lexington/Richland Five, or Fairfield County Schools in South Carolina
- Must graduate during the 2023-2024 academic school year and enroll in a two- or four-year accredited institution of higher learning
- Must demonstrate character that aligns with and represents the Fraternity’s Four Cardinal Principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift
What you'll need
- Essay (500 words, APA Format with title page, running header, and works cited page): 'School Dropout data indicates that African American Males dropout of school at an alarming high rate: Explain what you believe can be done to reduce the number of African American Males from dropping out of high school.'
- Resume detailing awards, honors, accomplishments, documented community service hours, and demonstrated leadership
- Three (3) letters of reference: one from a member of Omega Psi Phi, one from a community member, and one from a teacher/administrator/counselor
- Copy of high school transcript with signature of the Principal or Principal Designee
