Who is eligible
- Minority resident of the greater Peoria area
- 2024-2025 graduating high school Senior
- Minimum high school cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrated leadership qualities through school and community activities
- Acceptance to an accredited college or university for the 2025-2026 academic year
What you'll need
- Official high school transcript (through the seventh semester) including cumulative GPA
- Copy of admission letter to an accredited college or university for the 2025-2026 academic year
- Two letters of reference (including name, address, and telephone number): one from a teacher or counselor, and one from an adult other than a relative or a personal friend who can attest to your character
- Personal Statement (typed, double-spaced, maximum of 2 pages): "describe yourself in terms of experiences, activities, and aspirations. The personal statement must include how you plan to pay for college expenses"
