Who is eligible
- Must be from Baltimore City only
- Must be going into ministry, a seminary student, or in the candidacy process in The United Methodist Church
- Must have held membership in a church of the Baltimore-Washington Conference for at least one year
- Must be a degree candidate at an accredited college, university, or seminary
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- Must be enrolled full-time

- Student's Statement: 'Be prepared to discuss your involvement in the church and how you have served as a leader.'
- Statement of Extenuating Circumstances (200-word limit): 'Explain in the application process if there are extenuating circumstances the Joint Scholarship Task Force needs to take into consideration.'
- Official College/University or seminary transcript
- Pastor's Email: Verification of commitment, involvement, membership length, or confirmation details in the United Methodist Church
- Reference's Email: A recommendation from someone at the church other than the pastor commenting on commitment, involvement, and membership
