- Must be a member in good standing of Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, New Brunswick, New Jersey
- Must be involved in at least one of the church ministries
- Must have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or an average of 80 or better
- Will enter an accredited college, university, or trade school program as a full-time, degree- or certificate-seeking freshman in the fall, spring, or summer term
