This scholarship program supports students attending United Methodist-related Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Funding is intended to assist qualifying members of Methodist denominations in achieving higher education.

Who is eligible
- Must be an active, full member of The United Methodist Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, AME Zion Church, or the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for at least one year prior to applying (includes disaffiliated UMC churches)
- Must attend a United Methodist-related Historically Black College or University (HBCU)
- Must be an undergraduate, graduate, or Doctor of Ministry student (excluding PhD and other doctorate-level programs)

- Apply online through the UMHEF website when application cycle is open
- Have your school's registrar office send the enrollment verification form to UMHEF no later than October 1
