- Must identify as an African-American woman
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be a continuing or returning student whose education was interrupted by family responsibilities or personal demands, OR entering college for the first time due to these factors
What you'll need
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
- Recent photo with full name listed on back
- Personal statement
- Proof of acceptance or attendance at a college or university, OR official transcript
- Essay (450 to 500 words, typed, double-spaced): "explaining the circumstances that qualify you for the scholarship and how receiving the scholarship will impact your post-secondary plans."
