SCTPN Undergraduate Scholarships
SCTPN Undergraduate Scholarships are dedicated to academic excellence and assisting young adults living with a hemoglobinopathy to continue their education. The scholarship is awarded to students accepted to an accredited two or four-year college or university, with recipients eligible to reapply annually.

Who is eligible
- Must be diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease or Thalassemia
- Must be accepted to an accredited two or four-year college or university
- Must maintain a 2.5 grade point average (for renewal/re-applying students)
What you'll need
- Completed scholarship application and forms
- Two letters of recommendation from non-family members (for re-applicants: one letter must be from a professor)
- Essay (350-500 words): Answering the questions provided on the scholarship flyer
- For renewal applicants: Essay response to the prompt: "Should workers have Unions, and do you think workers will benefit from a Union? Why or why not? And do Unions help or hurt society as a whole?"
- Official transcript (for renewal applicants; unofficial accepted if official is pending)
