This scholarship honors the legacy of award-winning broadcaster Jovita Moore, supported by an annual investment from Cox Media Group. It is open to passionate journalism and communications students who demonstrate financial need and leadership qualities.

Who is eligible
- Must be a rising sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student
- Must be in good standing with their academic institution
- Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Must major in journalism or a communications discipline

- Essay or Video: "500-word essay or submit a video (run time less than 5 minutes) describing the applicant’s financial need and leadership and passion for journalism."

- Two letters of recommendation from professionals familiar with your work and character (e.g., professors, mentors, professional journalists)
- Three samples of the student's work
