Black American Engineering Scholarship
The Black American Engineering Scholarship is designed to create diversity in the field of engineering and support Black Americans pursuing STEM careers. In addition to financial aid to close the gap after Pell Grants, recipients participate in a mentorship program to support their professional success.

Who is eligible
- Must identify as Black American
- Must be an incoming college freshman/current high school senior, or a student transferring from a two-year program into a four-year program
- Must be eligible for Federal Pell Grant funding
- Must be able to show proven financial need
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident
- Must be in good academic standing
- Must be enrolling in an accredited, not-for-profit four-year institution
- Must be pursuing a degree in civil, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering (including any subfields)
