Who is eligible
- Must have a graduating cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher
- Must be a recent high school graduate from the 2025-2026 academic year
- Must confirm active membership at Reid Temple for the immediate previous two or more years, or have a parent/guardian with confirmed active membership for the immediate previous two or more years
- Must be enrolled and/or accepted for enrollment in an institution of higher learning on a full-time basis
What you'll need
- Official high school transcript
- Proof and attestation of membership at Reid Temple (membership envelope number or certificate)
- Two (2) letters of recommendation: One from a Reid Temple AME Church leader (not the Pastor) and one from outside the church (school, community, etc.)
- Essay: "sharing a personal challenge that you have overcome and how overcoming that challenge will benefit your future education and career endeavors"
- A graduation or professional photograph
- A letter of acceptance or proof of enrollment
- Copies of awards and recognition for outstanding academics, community service, sports, or other activities (optional)

- Gather all required documents including the transcript, recommendation letters, essay, photograph, and proof of enrollment
