The Shell Malaysia Scholarship Programme sponsors high-achieving Malaysian students to pursue A-levels and undergraduate studies at prestigious universities locally and overseas. The program provides comprehensive financial support alongside unique entry opportunities into the energy industry through internships and graduate programs.

Who is eligible

  • Must be 2025 SPM or 2026 O-Level leavers
  • Consistently strong academic achievements: Minimum 8As (A/A+) in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) OR Excellent O-level grades at IGCSE (A*/A)
  • Willing to pursue A-levels at a selected boarding institution
  • Strong leadership skills and active participation in extracurricular activities such as societies, clubs, or sports
  • Not presently holding other scholarships or loans
  • Eligible to work in the country where the scholarship program is offered

What you'll need

  • Stage 1: Virtual Job Tryout and On-Demand Video Interview (approximately 40 minutes; includes three questions with two minutes to record each response)
  • Stage 2: Final Assessment & Competency-Based Interview with the Scholarship Board of Trustees covering scenario-based questions and academic/leadership experiences

  • Submit the online application and complete the Stage 1 Virtual Job Tryout and On-Demand Video Interview within 7 days of receiving the invitation.
