Tips for incoming HBCU freshmen

Apply during senior year. Many freshman awards close between November and March. Keep a list of deadlines and check the deadline calendar often.

Ask your school too. Most HBCUs offer their own merit awards for new students. Look up your school in our HBCU school profiles.

Let your profile do the filtering. Create a free account and we'll score every scholarship against your GPA, state, major, and class year.
