- Must live in the United States or Puerto Rico
- Home schooling is acceptable, but you may not attend a school using an APO address
- GPA must be equivalent to at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
- Must have experience working or volunteering in your community
- Must have plans to enroll full-time in an accredited institution of higher education (2 or 4-year college, vocational/technical school, or web-based school) upon graduation
- Must not have received a Best Buy scholarship in the past
